I stayed in a villa called Villa Camelia, in the town of Tsoukalades. Tsoukalades is a small town famous for its stone built architecture. It is a very friendly town with people always looking out to help you. The town is situated in the center of Lefkas island, allowing easy travel from one town to another. I would recommend having a car because the beauty of this island lies all around the island and exploring the coast is a must. (link:

The villa we stayed in was part of Art Blue Villas, a group of villas rented out in this magnificent island of Greece (link: ). Their website is very easy to use, you just chose which date you wish to visit and they will show you a list of available villas and you chose the right one for you.

Villa Camelia is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom villa modernly furnished with a large private swimming pool.

The view is the first thing I want to comment about: the villa is situated in the middle of the Ionian mountains with a 180° view on the sea and the island of AntiPaxos. The sunset is absolutely breathtaking, with warm colours that compliment the wide spread of cypress trees covering the hills in the foreground. This is a very romantic spot where you can sit down with a glass of bubbly and enjoy this incredible scenery. No matter how many times you look at the view, it never ceases to amaze you.

The house itself is decorated perfectly; very modern and equipped with everything you need, from a fully equipped kitchen to bathroom essentials. It is possible to have a barbeque as yet again everything you need is right next to it. The house has fully working air conditioning in the living room and the two bedrooms and a fireplace if in need.

The cleaning staff came twice every day, once for bringing you breakfast and once to clean the house and change the linen. Breakfast is complimentary, and every morning a selection of freshly squeezed orange juice, yoghurt and granola, honey, eggs, bacon, croissants, fresh fruits, spinach pie etc. is delivered to the villa; I must admit breakfast was my favorite time of the day.

The staff is so always so helpful and friendly and the director, Dina is so kind and available that it was such pleasure to stay here with Ionian Villas, and if you have the chance to visit Lefkas I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here.
