Nestled in a quiet little village in Clapham South, on the Abbeville Road is No. 33, this beautiful venue holds a large outdoor terrace which, combined with the deliciously cooked food makes it a perfect place for lunch, brunch or dinner. No.33 has a fun and tranquil atmosphere during the day, ideal for grabbing a bite to eat with a friend and in the evening it transforms into an elegant and intimate restaurant and cocktail bar, perfect for a date or still a sophisticated meal with a friend.
This restaurant and cocktail bar was a true find, and admittedly what attracted us were the tasty options on their lunch menu at a convenient price of £9.95 each. It is not frequent to find such amazing food for such a great price in London!
The options include your char-grilled burgers and chicken wraps and other delicious and more complex options such as stuffed portobello mushrooms with halloumi on a base of grilled vegetables which is what I ordered. Furthermore you can chose Pan-fried seabags fillet, crab, coconut & chilli rice, pan-fried cod fillet or risotto. If you are still hungry then there are some additional sides you can order such as herb fries, garlic bread or a green salad. The food is incredibly flavoursome and beautifully presented on the plate. Moreover the portions are quite abundant which is amazing.
As previously mentioned, this venue changes style and the evening dishes are more intricate and unique, and in their A La Carte menu you have the option of choosing 2 courses for 23£ or 3 courses for 30£. The menu does change monthly but they do always keep a variety of different meats, fish and vegetables.
If you find yourself in Clapham or even if you have to take the tube here I highly suggest you pop into this restaurant for a meal because honestly No. 33 has the whole package: amazing food, big portions and low prices. This makes a little escape from central London down south totally worth it.
